The girls of this college are fabled for their spunk and attitude. And those who auditioned for Livon Times Fresh Face Season 11 in PGGCG-42 on Saturday went all the way to prove this. The college has given Fresh Face finalists and Chandigarh winners in most of the previous seasons. It seemed, this season won't be any different. Our celeb judge for the day was singer Jay Caurr, who has given playback for films like Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and the National award winning Punjabi film Nabar, and is now releasing single, dance tracks.
As she got on stage to perform on her Superstar, girls danced along, tapping to the peppy beats.
BOLLYWOOD & HOLLYWOOD TADKA: While most participants have demanded to show their dancing skills on Punjabi or Bollywood numbers, girls in this college were set apart as they demanded Western numbers to dance on in the second, talent round. And there was also another participant who put on her ghungroos and showed off classical dance moves. But whether Indian or western, the girls made the stage reverberate with their thumping beats. The emotive dancer Kiranveer Kaur Gill and poetess Anupamjot shared the second runner-up position.
IS THAT AN ACT? OR IS THAT REAL? The bold actor,
Manpreet Kaur mimicked the older women in traditional villages of Punjab, among other acts, and she drew resounding applause from her peers. She shared first runners-up place with the lively dancer Jaya Sharma. Giving her stiff competition was the bindass hip hop dancer, Ankita who with her dimples, curly hair and winking style, impressed upon the jury and was declared the winner.
