Tagore Theatre

, Chandigarh.
Shekhar Sen, Singer, Music Composer, Lyricist, Playwright and actor was born on Feb 19, 1961 in a Bengali Family of Raipur, Chattisgargh to renowned classical singers and musicologists Dr. Arun Kumar Sen, Dr. Aneeta Sen. Sen has done well researched musical mono act plays, Tulsi, Kabeer, Vivekanand, Sahab, and Soordas, Satguru Kabir Sahib.
This musical mono act play depicted exciting life story of great reformist, poet and philosopher 'Kabeer'. 600 years ago, this legendary saint challenged deep-rooted social evils ailing the society. With 45 song sequences, this two hour long play unfolded making of this revolutionary social reformer who was discovered floating in a pond, on his day of birth, by a Muslim couple Neeru, Nima.
