Kathak exponent Anu Sinha enthralls as Meera Bai

North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala (Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India) organised a ballet, “Meera” by Anu Sinha, Kathak exponent from Jaipur Gharana on January 31 at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. Anu Sinha is a disciple of Pt. Rajendra Gangani and hails from the Jaipur Gharana. For more than 10 years she has been giving Kathak Taleem to over a thousand students.She has extensively performed both in India and abroad. Some iconic productions are, ‘Kaamyani’ ; ‘Dhruvswamini’ ; ‘Draupadi’ ; ‘Krishna’, ‘Shiv Ganga’ etc .
The presentation idolized Meera Bai. Meera Bai has forever stood for selfless devotion and love towards deity. The other artists who participated in this ballet were Priti Saraswat, Ashi Saraswat, Jaismeen, Vrindha Sharma, Naveen, Atul, Raghav, Lakshman, Brijesh, Nitika, Sakshi, Binni, Priya, Samita, Somya, Bhavya, Samriti, Bhumika, Aditi .
