Encouraging people to adopt healthy lifestyle, the members of Panjab University's alumni association organised a webinar ‘Eat Well to Live Well’ on Tuesday. The event with special stress on good and nutritious diet saw head of PGIMER's department of gastroenterology Dr Rakesh Kochhar sharing tips.
Prof Deepti Gupta, dean (alumni relations) said that the webinar demystified diet fads and highlighted importance of healthy eating.
Dr Kochhar, who has been into medical profession for 42 years with PGIMER-12, talked about various aspects of diet, weight and health. He also said besides a good diet, it's important to know how to chew food, what is a healthy weight, intermittent fasting, calorie count of popular food items, food poisoning, milk intolerance, etc.
The engaging session also had a Q&A round where participants shot a volley of questions and asked the expert to share further details. Since coronavirus is the main topic of discussion these days, questions around eating habits and specific food was also asked. The authorities said they are planning to have another session like this soon.
