Girls from Bhaini Sahab Gurudwara perform Raag Yaman

Monday’s concert was opened by four girls, Ratna, Sandeep, Rattan Kaur and Randeep Kaur from Sri Bhaini Sahab who played Raag Yaman. These young girls showed lot of potential through their beautiful rendition, accompanied on Tabla by Jaidev. Next presentation was given by senior students who are teaching in different colleges and the University. Dr Preeti, Dr Vanita and Dr Ambuj Mala presented Raag Madhuvanti. Next came four professional students of this gharana, Sumit Singh Padam from Amritsar, Prabhdeep Singh from Kurali, Sohrab Singh from Ludhiana and Partha Sen from Mohali. They played Raag Puriya Dhanashri. In the end, guru Pandit Harvinder Sharma, former professor, principal and joint director, department of higher education, Haryana took over the stage.
