Exhibition in city to showcase hundred artworks by award winning artists
Art curators Gurpreet Kaur and Munish Jauhar are hosting an exhibition, Whispers of Light showcasing 100 artworks by award-winning artists including Gurmeet Marwah, Samir Mohanty, Pradipta Chakraborty, Kapil Anant Sharma, Magesh R., Bhaskar Rao, Ganapati Hegde, and Harisha Chennagod.
This exhibition is a tribute to the quieter forces of beauty where art is a companion, a bearer of stories, emotions, and memory. “Within these works, the artists have treated silence with as much intention as color, and the stillness with moments for reflection, comfort, and a chance for personal insight,” says Gurpreet, imploring art lovers to observe how different types of light, natural sunlight, dim gallery lighting, or the contrast between shadow and brightness appear in one’s own daily life. “We wanted to create an experience that speaks in whispers, not declarations. Art doesn’t always need to shout to be heard. Sometimes, it’s the gentle glow that lingers longest,” she says.
As we move into 2026, the art world continues to pivot toward introspection and sustainability. “There is a global fatigue from all the loud visual noise, but, through art works, like the ones on display at Whispers of Light, we are embracing a quiet minimalism, and have specially curated works that exhale rather than shout,” adds Munish.
Galleries and collectors are now increasingly seeking art that nurtures, pieces designed to heal, ground, and inspire empathy. “Art for emotional wellness and art exploring emotional ‘lightness’, are emerging as central motifs and themes. In many ways, Whispers of Light stands as a precursor to these very shifts — a celebration of subtlety, depth, and the human need for quiet connection in a bright, busy world,” add the curators, their collection a mix of affordable and investment art. At its core, Whispers of Light is a meditation on stillness. Viewers are invited to slow down, breathe, let the art speak in tones only stillness can carry and carry home a soft glow of the same.
