DAV College fest brings Sidhu Moosewala and a clash

At the annual cultural festival Tarang 2K18 of DAV College- Sector 10, the college administration attempted a new experiment. Instead of making a pot-pourri of events from the three prominent states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, the college decided to designate one day each to the respective states. And according to the college Principal Dr

BC Josan

, the “experiment” has been successful. “This is the first time we tried this concept and students seem to have received it well,” said Josan, adding, “We thought this will make students from the three states, who contribute to the student population of Chandigarh, happy.”

The festival, which started on Wednesday, began with performances from Haryana, with singing duo

KD MD

being the main attractions in the college auditorium. Thursday was designated for Punjab and Sidhu Moosewala was the star attraction, which was to be followed by an EDM night. However, the EDM night was called off. Ironically, minutes before Sidhu’s performance, a clash erupted in the auditorium with the student council demanding front seats, which were reserved for the teachers. That hardly seemed to have perturbed the students in the audience, who enjoyed the show thoroughly. On the concluding day on Friday, Himachali star Kuldeep Sharma is set to enthrall students.
