International Women’s Day was occasion for a unique condom-promotion event in Chandigarh under the title 'Condom Man Ki Barat (marriage procession of condom man)'. Many volunteers from various NGOs participated in the event. A condom replica was placed on a chariot as the groom and a wedding band spread the message of 'Stop HIV', 'Stop AIDS', 'Be Aware', and 'Prevent AIDS, Use Condom'. More than 1,000 condoms were distributed for free during the campaign.
