Amid the lockdown a lady from Chandigarh urged other women to make good use of time and show their talents ranging from modelling, acting to cooking

Besides its dark side, the pandemic also gave birth to new forms of creativity as people were forced to device innovative ways to keep themselves occupied mentally. While some developed new hobbies, others created opportunities for others to bond with their kind through online media. One such idea was adopted by Chandigarh resident, Gurpreet Kaur who stays in Zirakpur, to make the best use of this lockdown situation by urging other women to find creativity within.

"I created a virtual pageant for the woman where they can showcase their talent and do something out of the box," says Gurpreet who devised a platform for women to indulge in fun activities like dancing, singing, modelling, and even cooking among other things. "The idea was to urge women to find their true calling with just click of a button," says Gurpreet.

Called 'Blush Mutiyaar', her pageant became a success as over 80 women participated in it. with entries pouring in from across Punjab. The finale of this online pageant also had an online jury. In Unlock 2.0, these women recently conducted their finale where Osheen Gandhi bagged the title of Miss Blush Mutiyaar, Radhika Sharma and Vaishali Khanna bagged second and third positions respectively.
Besides titles for unmmaried/single women, the contest was also conducted for married women who also bagged various titles.

The title of Mrs. Blush Mutiyaar was won by Ramneek Ahluwalia from Khanna followed by Navneet Kaur and Shweta Varma from Panchkula as first runner up, with Harpreet Kaur and Nishu Bansal as second runner up. There was another category of 40+ women who also won titles.
