REVIVING THE GIRLS Vs BOYS DEBATE: The final Q&A round proved interesting as a girl and boy finalist were locked in a heated debate over the question, 'Do men or women make for better chefs?' Though the question was posed to Aashutosh Verma, the stand-up comic of the lot, Rashi Rathore volunteered to give a rebuttal, defending women's pressure taking appetite. While Aashutosh was declared winner (boys) for his first ever attempt, a witty one at that, at stand-up, Rashi, who also presented an intense act on acid attack survivors, stood as first runner up (girls). The sassy dancer, Delhi girl Niyati Sinha, landed the winning position in girls.
PUSH-UP MANIA! Another precedent set by this college has been of many boy participants showing off their body building skills. Keeping up the momentum, this year too a lot of boys flaunted their physical prowess in the talent round, with one of them going up to 72 push-ups to break the previous record of 70. Sourabh Thakur, a professional body builder and title holder of Mr Chandigarh, landed in second runner up (boys) position with his ripped muscle show. While Avinav Srivastava, the boy with a powerful singing voice, landed in first runner up place. The demure, though intelligent Anjali Gautam, won second runner up title (girls). — Faguni Verma
