African students pick up instant bhangra lessons

The African student meet, 2018, held at a management and technology institute in

Mohali

turned out to be a foot-tapping occasion for students from

Africa

. The event which also saw

Baraka H Luvanda

, High Commissioner of

United Republic of Tanzania

as chief guest, along with

Yahya A Mhata

, an education liaison officer from Tanzania, as the guest of honour, had students breaking into an instant jig. They not only slipped into traditional Punjabi outfits but also matched steps with other students.
Over 70 African students attended the meet. The event was high on Punjabi flavor as the high commissioner was seen sporting a traditional Punjabi, presented by the institute. While Luvanda motivated young students to make themselves self-capable for future opportunities, he stressed on importance of commitment and dedication.
