Celebrating the best of Australia at KIFF 2023

Australian High Commissioner to India, Philip Green, hosted a reception on December 4 to celebrate Australia’s cinematic excellence and the country’s association with KIFF’ 23. Spain & Australia are the focus countries at the 29th edition of Kolkata International Film Festival.

Besides the screening of Australian movies, the festival will also feature an interaction with renowned Australian Film director Bruce Beresford.
An evening celebrating both cultures
Doffing a hat to the cultures of both the nations, the event had the best of Indian and Australian classic and favourite dishes. The menu featured Indian dishes like kosha mangsho, chanar kofta kaliya, bhetki macher paturi and phulkopir rosha. Aussie classic dishes like Australian pavlova, Classic Australian lamingtons, Aussie honey glazed carrots gave the guests a chance to relish the best of both the worlds.
