According to a recent Swiggy report, India devoured 83 million plates of biryani this year, with 158 orders per minute, holding its rank for the 9th consecutive year.

While biryani holds the special place in India’s heart, according to Swiggy's 2024 report, chicken roll has also emerged as the nation's most-ordered snack with an impressive 2.48 million orders this year, followed by chicken momo (1.63 million orders) and potato fries (1.3million orders). India's love affair with chicken rolls, momo, and fries can be attributed to a confluence of factors like cultural influence, affordability and accessibility.
