A special screening of the new Odia film,
Abhiman
, was held in a city multiplex recently. Fans and the cast and crew of the film were present at the event. Some of the popular names of the film industry were also present.
The film, which stars one of the most popular onscreen couples of
Ollywood
,
Sabyasachi Mishra and
Archita Sahoo
, is a romantic comedy and a potboiler.
Actors like
Partha Sarathi Ray,
Samaresh Routray, Durgakinkar, Lipsa Mishra, singer Namita Agrawal, actress Sivani and Sabyasachi himself were also present on the occasion. Archita, who is currently in the US, could not attend the event.
Apart from Sabyasachi and Archita, Sivani appears in a song and comedians Harihara Mohapatra and Jeeban Panda along with veterans Pradyumna Lenka and Namrata Das also play pivotal roles.
“The film is an out and out comedy and it’s about a young couple who are so egoistic that they never want to bend before the other. Their Abhiman becomes so big that they are forced to part ways. When people watch it, they would find it different,” said Sabya.
The film, which has been directed by
Mrutyunjay Sahu
, has six songs sung by various singers. The songs are catchy and lyrically good. The team hopes that the film would provide wholesome entertainment to audiences once it hits theatres.
