Sabyasachi Mishra will have a get-together on Diwali, the actor may have to skip the fun. The actor is set to attend several functions and social events on that day as a guest and will also be promoting his upcoming

. “As
Diwali is the time when such social events are held in different parts of the state, I don’t want to miss the chance to promote my film there,” said the actor, adding that there will be celebrations as usual at home, where all the relatives staying in and around Bhubaneswar and
Cuttack
will gather and celebrate at one place.
When asked if they would be bursting crackers, the actor said his family members have never liked that. “We have always celebrated Diwali with soundless crackers or
phuljharis
,” he said, recalling how his family used to go for Diwali shopping on the day of the festival. “We had a good reason for that. The prices get low by that time. It was a daily affair during our childhood,” recalled the actor with a smile.
He also urged people to reduce the use of polluting firecrackers. “People should celebrate the festival, but it’s high time we think about our environment and act accordingly. Last year, I had done a campaign, Baana Nuha Hasa Phuteiba, urging people to spread smiles instead of bursting crackers. This time, I’ll also start a similar campaign,” he signed off.
