Sabyasachi Mishra recently helped a poor girl, who had been suffering from bone tumor. He helped the 24-year-old girl in getting
treatment
from one of the best hospitals in the country,
AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
Sharing a picture of the girl with him, the
Abhiman
actor expressed his happiness for helping the poor girl named Kuni Panda from Balipada village in
Puri
. The girl had lost her father earlier and the family was so poor to arrange money to treat the tumor on her hand. She appealed for help through a social media post. Some people tagged Sabya in the video, who extended his support to the family.
“I got to know about her pain trough a volunteer and had promised Kuni that she would get the best treatment. I had also promised her that once her hand gets treated, I would meet her. When I met recently, she tied a rakhi on my hand. Besides, she has tattooed the initial letter of my name on her hand as a mark of gratitude. I am lucky to help people and when I get back a lot of love in return, I become more emotional,” said the actor, who had become a messiah for migrant labourers during the lockdown period by helping them reach their homes.
He also heaped praises for doctors of the
All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar for their support and common people for their prayers.
