IGNITE Film Festival
that aimed at promoting and encouraging young filmmakers, storytellers and creative individuals and as well as creating awareness by highlighting various social, political and humanist issues was held at a city hotel on Tuesday. The theme based film festival with the theme Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao for this year felicitated young filmmakers who had taken part in the competition. Short film “A Daughter’s Letter” made by
Abhishek Swain won best film and best script along with best cinematography while “She is My Daughter” by
Kaushik Nath won second best film and best editing award. “Be The Change”, a short film by
Santosh Panda
, was the second runner up. Renowned filmmaker
Amartya Bhattacharya
and veteran journalists of national repute
Sampad Mahapatra and
Sandeep Sahu
were the jury members, who judged the films and handed over the awards.
