A unique cricket match started today in the city in which actors, actress and technicians from around 13 Odia
television serials
from different television channels took part. The two-day fun-filled sporting event was inaugurated today amidst the presence of many celebrities from serial and film fraternities.

Anu Choudhury inaugurated the
Odia
Mega Serial Cricket League. As per the organisers, it’s a friendly
cricket tournament
with an aim to provide fitness practice and a lot of enjoyment to the artistes and technicians along with the audiences.
“Our entertainment industry has various branches like film, television,
OTT
, theatre, jatra and folk art and many more. Besides, there are competitions among groups in various platforms. Such friendly events are meant to create bonding between artistes. It’s a welcome step,” said Siddhant.
Similarly, Anu also hailed the move and hoped that this cricket league should continue in coming years. She also recalled her younger days, when she was also playing cricket with friends.
The artistes of popular serials like Tara Tarini, Sindoora Ra Adhikar, Kuaanri Bahu, Maya, Jeebansathi, Dibyadrushti, Mahadev, Singhadwara, Nananda Putuli, Mo Dehe Boli De Toh Deha Kala, Rahichhi Rahibi Tori Pain, and To Pain Mu Mo Pain Tu are taking part in the event.
On the first day, the league matches are played while on the second day play-offs will be held amidst the presence of several sports legends of the state.
