Actress
Archita Sahu recently paid a visit to a destitute-cum-old-age home to meet the inmates there and bring a smile on their faces during this
difficult time
. The Abhiman

also provided ration to the centre.
Archita said that the
lockdown
has been affecting everyone. Besides, the homeless and aged have no one to talk to and take care of them. Abandoned by their own, they have been living at the centre and must be undergoing a lot of stress and trauma. “I visited this centre called Sevak Old Age Home at Chhatia around 100 km from Bhubaneswar. There are around 200 aged people residing there and most of them are mentally challenged. As they have no loved one, I decided to meet them and try to make them smile. I also contributed some ration for them,” said the actress.

, who had accompanied her, was all praise for the actress for her
humanitarian gesture
. The centre takes care of the
destitute
people, who need all our love and care. This was a good gesture by Archita to spend some time with them and bring smile on their faces,” said the activist.
Earlier, the actress was seen providing sanitary napkins to rural women during the lockdown. She was trying to create awareness about menstrual hygiene among the women in rural areas.
