Jagannath Actor-turned politician Akash Dasnayak and National Award-winning actress Prakruti Mishra have paired up for the first time for their upcoming Sritam Das directorial Mahabahu. Sritam, who plays a lead role in the film, and the lead pair are excited about the film, which goes on the floors in November. The film’s story has a message related to Lord Jagannath, who is also referred to as Mahabahu.
“The scripting work for the film has been going on in full swing, with the makers focusing on originality of the story. The shoot will start from November,” said Akash, who is currently busy campaigning for his party candidate in the Balasore by-elections.
He said Prakruti had earlier done a song for his film Herogiri, which has not released yet. “This is the first time we are pairing up as leads for a film,” he added.
On her part, Prakruti said she is hopeful about the film. “The story is different from the usual ones. At the same time, it will have all the elements to entertain the audiences,” she said.
