Odia television and film actor Chinmay Mishra tested

Covid positive

and is currently in home isolation. The actor was part of a television serial and many cast and crew of the project have also tested positive.

Taking to social media, Chinmay posted the news of him testing positive for COVID-19 and appealed to people, who have come in contact with him in last one or two weeks, to go for test. “Last Saturday, I got drenched in rain and caught cold. The cold and fever persisted for two days. Though I got relief from it, my throat remained sore. After few of my team members tested positive, we were all tested and the test result came positive,” the actor told us.


However, he had stopped meeting people ever since positive cases surfaced from his unit. After several cast and crew members tested positive, the shooting for the serial has been stopped by the production house for the safety and security of the other members.


Though several serial actors have tested positive earlier, no one was speaking about it openly. “I want people around me to be alert and stay safe. It will be easier for those who have come in contact with me to know and have themselves tested. The

team provided me with medicine and now, I'm in complete isolation at my home,” said the actor.
