The three day Sanhita Manch theatre festival culminated with Mumbai’s Being Association’s play Radhey. Directed by festival’s organiser
Rasika Agashe. “Written by Bangalore’s Amit Sharma this play throws light on Mahabharata from a common man’s point of view. The ones in power go for a war because they think it’s a solution but what the common man thinks is also important.
In this one hour, thirty minutes play we showcase the last two days of the Mahabharata where Karna comes in full action.” Explains Rasika. She added, “We performed in Pune and Mumbai and the response was good but the response in Bhopal was awesome. The audience didn’t leave the theatre post the play they came up to speak with the actors and directors and this attitude is very encouraging for the ones who performed. We all were overwhelmed with the love that the people showered upon us.”
