Utkal Diwas celebration with Odissi dance

Every year on first of April

Utkala Diwas

is celebrated by the people of

Orissa state

to mark the day on which the state became a separate province. The people of the Odissi community came together at Ravindra Bhawan where a cultural event was organised. The event started with the launching of the yearly magazine followed by an Odissi song. The most awaited segment of the evening was the duet dance of

Kalyani Phagre

and

Vaidehi Phagre

which turned the atmosphere mystic with their mesmerising performance. The expressions and the way their bodies moved made the audience too swing with them.
