A group of north eastern students who have come to the city for a youth exchange program under the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) visited the world heritage site near Bhopal- Sanchi. Built by king Ashoka Sanchi is a place where a lot of things can be learnt about the Buddhist religion and their culture. One hundred and five students of Manipur, Nagaland and Madhya Pradesh visited the heritage monument. They saw the famous Ashok Pillar which is the Buddhist dharmachakra represented by twenty four strokes. It has four lions and Schism Edict. The students were very delighted to see the 3rd century BCE monument.
