Importance of Manipuri culture discussed ta IGRMS
On the occasion of the International
Museum
day director of the heritage foundation of mankind Dr Kisham Sobita Devi held a session in theIndira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya
in which she spoke about the role of Manipuri costume in mounting museum as a cultural hub for the posterity. She said that if the costumes were presented with a difference and full information then people would get a better understanding and interest. Even though Manipur lost its independence to the colonial rulers in the year 1091 still the people respected and cared for its culture and thus did everything to preserve it.Top Comment
