College students debate on the importance of voting

As the general elections are on its way an array of events are happening in the city to make the people aware about the importance of voting. On the occasion of national voter’s awareness day a district level debate competition was organised in the Hamidia college. The aim was to make the students aware about the role of vote in a democratic country.This was followed by a poster competition on an ideal voting centre about which the students were very enthusiastic. A slogan and easy writing competition too was organised on the topic of importance of voting. More than hundred students of eighteen colleges participated in the various competitions and came up with amazing views and art work.
