In the
Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum
a puppetry session was organised by the Kathkath Puppets Arts Trust and Setagaya Silk in whichBans Ki Rajkumari
was staged. This was from a Japanese genre which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. This was a folklore which revolves around a princess who is cursed by the Moon. One day an old woodcutter finds a baby girl in the woods and he takes her home with him. The next when he cuts a wood he gets gold and this goes till he becomes extremely rich. Her beauty strikes the heart and mind of the a king who falls in love with her instantly.end of article
