The Bhopal Food Lovers group has revived the tradition of the potluck parties in the city. Two years ago they started their journey from a potluck event at a city park and since then the community has been growing and now they have a family of group members where more than fifty dishes come in whenever a potluck is being organised. To mark the second year anniversary of the group a potluck was organised which was based on Hawaiian theme.
Right from the dishes to the people everyone was dressed up accordingly for the occasion. While members like Sabyasachi Roy brought in dishes like Hawaiian chicken and fruit salad, there were members like Amit Agrawal who chose to be desi and brought in dishes like chicken meat ball biryani. Apart from this Anubha Jain’s pani puri flavoured cheesecake and Nisha Chug’s Aam Panna attracted a lot of attention. The members not only paid attention to cooking but a lot of time was spent on the presentation as well. One example was Chef Nafees H Naqvi’s meat dish as it was not only a treat to the taste buds but also to the eyes.
