Bollywood actor and theatre actor
Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and his wife Rasika Agashe’s initiative Sanhita Manch started a nationwide search for bringing up the hidden literary talent in the country’s theatre artists. They called a panel of judges who chose four plays out of the entries that were submitted by various theatre groups of the country- three Hindi and one Marathi play.
The three Hindi plays namely Romeo Juliet in smart cities of contemporary India, Kabab and Radhey were staged in Shaheed Bhawan recently. “Its been three year since we are organising this festival and now we have more than 300 scripts at our disposal. We also look to digitalise the old scripts which are written by the legendary artists of theatre. We do not get the work of the writers online like BV Karanth and Habib Tanveer. In the last three years we have come across a lot of scripts which we are digitalising so that in the form of an e-library it is available to the people.” Says Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
