Bengali podcast blends the power of AI with music and storytelling
A YouTube channel named Sahaj Path, that promotes art and culture of Bengal has recently launched Daulatdiyar Chithi - The Daulatdia Chronicle, a Bengali audio-visual podcast that blends AI with music, storytelling, and visuals to create a unique cultural experience.
Produced by Neelanjan Ghosh, who served as writer, producer, and designer, the project is a testament to modern digital creativity. Direction, narration, voiceover, and song selection were expertly handled by USA-based elocutionist Amrita Sircar. The content features eight pre-released Bengali songs—seven sung by singer Arpita Bose Roy (female voices) and one by Anirban Dutta (male voice)—integrated seamlessly into a 48-minute narrative.
The story revolves around a young, talented girl from a remote West Bengal village who falls victim to caste-based politics and finds herself in Daulatdia, Bangladesh’s largest red-light district. Her journey is one of hardship, hope, and resilience, culminating in a series of life-changing events—rescue, love, loss, and eventual empowerment. The narrative explores themes of social injustice, survival, and the indomitable spirit of underprivileged women.
