This Saturday, Bangalore-based storyteller Aparna Jaishankar would take centerstage to retell tales from the Mahabharata. The online event would be hosted by Ekta's Gatherings at 7 pm.
"Just as the grains in a fistful of sand cannot be counted, so can’t the number of versions of the Mahabharata in the various artforms in the nooks and crannies of the Indian Subcontinent.

Each form has taken a part of the story, adapted it with newer stories and in the process, making it their own. It is perhaps the reason why the Mahabharata, not very modestly, claims that "That which is found here can be found elsewhere. That which is not here, cannot be found elsewhere."'
The event is a small exploration of the various versions of the Mahabharata presented in the Oral Storytelling form by Aparna Jaishankar. This event is hosted by Ekta's Gatherings on the 12th December, Saturday, Online. Starts at 7pm! To register reach out to Ekta at 8095190255
