had a gala birthday celebration recently. While the day had the usual jocund company and celebration, it was also a retrospective one, shares Shruti. “The year 2019 marks my 20th year in the industry, and all my close pals who were by my side when I first debuted in the industry are still with me, ringing in my birthday every year. So, this birthday made me look back on how I started off as an anchor, and eventually took on the roles of actor, director and filmmaker,” she shared.
Generally, the do sees Shruti and her buddies from the TV and movie industry singing into the night. “They are so enthusiastic that they often take over from the singers scheduled to perform,” chuckles Shruti, adding, “This year, we called a local stand-up comedy team as well.”
