Running to success!
Dell organised a road run for its employees and that was a roaring success.
It wasn���t like other lazy Sunday mornings.
Dell employees put on their running shoes this Sunday to participate in the Dell Road Run organised in the aid of The Freedom Foundation. As part of Dell���s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort, the programme aimed to sensitise its employees to the plight of underprivileged children affected by HIV and raise awareness of this scourge.
And adding a dash of glam to the run were actress Shriya Saran, sprinting along with Charu Sharma and international athlete Reeth Abraham.
Over 1200 Dell employees volunteered support by contributing to the cause and around 450 employees participated in the run in a show of solidarity. The employee donation worth Rs 20 lakh was handed over to The Freedom Foundation. This is the third time that Dell has organised an employee run to support a community cause.
Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, MD, Dell International Services says, ���Dell is committed to improving the lives of the under-served children in the communities where our employees live and work. The Dell Road Run is an opportunity for us to extend our care and support to the children of Freedom Foundation.���
