Even the rain gods couldn’t dampen the spirits of theatre enthusiasts, who were present in full strength to catch Ratan Thiyam’s play.
After a standing ovation, post-play discussions and a round of cocktails, the guests headed for the dining area, where they were in for a pleasant surprise.
Apart from a scrumptious meal, the space was decorated with pictures of theatre veterans. There were also posters from Shakespeare’s plays and rare artefacts on sale. The guest list included non-Bangaloreans like Rajit Kapoor and Revathi Menon, along with Girish Karnad, Arundhati Nag, Shashi Deshpande, Rubi Chakravarti, among others.
