National Pet Day 2025: Fill a bowl, help a stray this summer in Bengaluru
On the occassion of National Pet Day, Bengaluru's Supertails started a campaigncalled Water It Up to ensure that the strays of Bengaluru have easy access to drinking water as the city prepares for one of its hottest summers. The campaign began on April 8, distributing 200 water bowls in Banashankari, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Cubbon Park, Ulsoor Lake, and Indiranagar, which are frequently visited by stray animals. No matter which part of the city stray animals reside in, there should always be a water bowl nearby - that is the objective of Water It Up.
Bengaluru is widely known for its immensely strong sense of community, and for animal lovers this is an opportunity to come together and help the strays in need. During summer, stray animals have no access to drinking water, which causes dehydration, leading to several health problems, including heat stroke and death, too.
Supertails have installed the water bowls across the city, and whenever you spot them, all you need to do is fill them up with drinking water. If anyone feels that other locations in Bengaluru can also benefit from this campaign, they can head over to Supertails+ clinics and pick up a water bowl for free. It is a community effort and a step towards making summer bearable for the strays of Bengaluru.
