Musical night with the maestros

Music by L Subramaniam and many other big-name artists. Balamuralikrishna, Gangubai Hanagal were among the big hits that evening. The downpour outside did not dampen spirits, and several times the audience rose to its feet to give the musicians a standing ovation.
Kavita Krishnamurti transformed the mood of the evening with the foot tapping Hawaa Hawwai, Dola Re Dola Re and Mera piya ghar aaya. She also sang Kannada number Hoove Hoove from H2O, which got the crowd going.
Pankaj Udhas got the rhythm going with his long-time fave, Chitthi Aayi Hai. And the guests went home, thrilled with their musical bonanza that evening.
