Invite the ladies over for a lecture on makeup, and they arrive in two, threes and tens eager to hang on to every word the teacher has to say. And so, when this upscale store held a beauty session of sorts for all things skin-wise and asked the ladies in the city to come for some makeover sessions and enjoy some retail therapy too, everyone trooped in — and then, nobody wanted to leave.
The guests perched on every available surface — from the wobbly wooden stools, the plush sofas, the tall chairs, leaning over the mirrors and counters — and could not get enough of Mathew Tyler, the man dispensing all the tips and ideas.
As he worked magic with his brushes and his makeup wands, the ladies sat mesmerized, wondering if they should whip out their notebooks and take down notes too.
Every now and then, they’d stroll towards the food counter to sample the spinach quiche or the chicken and mushroom on toast, relish the chocolate profiteroles and sip some coffee, but then sure enough, they’d be back for more beauty gyaan.
Manjusha Maheshwari was at the helm of the event and made sure everyone had a great time.
We spotted Gitanjali Kirloskar, Zarine Rekhi, Sheela Krishnaswamy, Anna Mincoher and Rama Basappa, among others, enjoying the afternoon immensely.
