It was a red-letter day for Bangalore theatre, as apna Mahesh Dattani premiered his latest play at a city hotel.
It was a red-letter day for Bangalore theatre, as apna Mahesh Dattani premiered his latest play at a city hotel. With Sushma Veer, Rubi Chakravarti (“That was a role of a lifetime!” said an admiring friend) and a whole bunch of competent actors, the play was greeted with thunderous applause.
There was wine and beer doing the rounds prior to the play, and for once everyone made sure to arrive on time, weekend traffic notwithstanding.
Guests including Vani Ganapathy, Vikram and Manjusha , Manjul Gupta, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Annabelle Mainwaring and Lata Bhandary were seen enjoying the show..
Post-the show, the cast came out and mingled with the guests, and Mahesh was seen standing around like the proud daddy he was. That was followed by dinner, as guests and cast relaxed, sipped more wine and enjoyed the evening.
