Sicilian wines and fine Italian food certainly make for a great evening.
And guests got a taste of just that at the dinner hosted at Italia at The Park, in association with Aspri Spirits. Giulia Lazzarini from Donnafugata took the small gathering through a wine-soaked journey as they tasted the wines from Sicily, including a crisp Chardonnay and a full-bodied red, and savoured the five-course menu crafted by Executive Chef Rajiv Vimal.

His creations ran the gamut from salmon and scallop carpaccio with salmon roe and mustard crest and Roman artichoke heart, to asparagus and pickled peppers parmigiana with spicy caper salsa — which everyone applauding. Among those who enjoyed the evening were Harathi Rebello, Heemanshu Ashar, Anna Minocher and Nirad Muthanna.
