Bangaloreans kept their promise to take the first step to health on Sunday morning. The Max Bupa Walk for Health — which was held in association with TIMES NOW and conducted simultaneously across Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi — saw the city’s health conscious folk from all walks of life turn up to show solidarity to the cause of walking as the easiest way to healthy living.

The participants got into the groove with some live performances and a variety of entertainment acts and kids got an opportunity to meet and get photographs taken with their favourite toon characters. There were also spot contests held to find ‘The Youngest Walker’, The Oldest Walker’ and ‘Most Bonded Family’, which added to the excitement of the day. We spotted actor Neetu Shetty, style guru Prasad Bidapa, commentator Charu Sharma, former swimmer Nisha Millet, former athlete Ashwini Nachappa, danseuse Vani Ganapathy and Birender Ahluwalia, Director Sales & Distribution, Max Bupa, putting their best foot forward at the walk.
Speaking on the occasion, Manasije Misra, CEO (Designate), Max Bupa Health Insurance, said, “The Max Bupa Walk for Health reiterates our philosophy of helping people prioritize their health. Through this initiative, we want to spread awareness about the benefits of walking, which is one of the easiest and most accessible forms of exercise. We are happy to see that thousands of people across India have joined us in making a new beginning towards good health and we hope they will continue walking for a healthier and happier future.”
