committed to building citizen power across India in effective and innovative ways. The event would witness many concerned citizens coming together and spreading awareness through the event. The organisation was seen urging people to take take part in the event.

Ploggers and Rebels Unite! This Sunday morning, come join us in Lalbagh, at the west gate for a clean up. We will be starting at 7 am sharp with #plograj India's very own Plogman. Link in bio and here: http://bit.ly/WorldCleanUp2020 Note: Tools and water will be provided." posted the team.

This move we hear would help raise awareness about the solid waste management crisis looming in Bengaluru. Jhatkaa.org has been involved in this cause since 2016, particularly the issue of garbage burning that doesn’t just cause air pollution, but also has serious health impacts. We’ve conducted clean-up drives, worked with the BBMP to get a penalty order and set up a number for people to report instances of garbage burning.
