They have made a thriller about what happens when a good man becomes embroiled in murky money matters, so it makes perfect sense for the team of the upcoming Kannada film Buckaasuura to promote it with promises of wads of cash. Well, almost! Over the past few days, the film’s lead actors Rohitt and Kavya Gowda have been on a road trip across North Karnataka, where they have been interacting with college students and engaging them in interesting games.
“We have several fun activities, and one of them has us put participants in a glass case of sorts, which we then fill up with currency (the game variety). They have to grab as many as possible and the one with the highest amount stands to win exciting prizes from us,” says Rohitt. The plan, he adds, is to sponsor the college fee of the winner for one academic year, the logistics of which are still being worked out. “If the winner thinks that the award should be given to a more deserving candidate, we offer that option also,” says the actor.
So far, the team has been to Belagavi, Haveri and Ranibennur, with cities like Davangere, Chitradurga, Hubballi-Dharwad, Bagalkot, Gadag, Bidar and Raichur also on the first schedule of promotions.
