Bengalureans give the floral tribute to COVID-19 warriors a thumbs up

The

Flower Council of India

(FCI) has shown its appreciation for

COVID-19 warriors

and frontline workers in their

latest floral installations

. The Council stated that the warriors, "Did not care for their comfort, relentlessly worked to save us from the deadly corona virus, risked their lives and worked 24x7 during lockdown. The Flower Council of India (FCI) salutes their spirit and presents #ChangingTheGloomToBlooms."

The installations also caught Bengaluru's top cop

Bhaskar Rao

's attention who also visited the spot to thank organisers and FCI. The council has also requested public to also join in to show their support and appreciation for the frontline workers.

The officials further inform that they will create floral installations at the various locations across the city for public display from June 11 (Thursday) to June 13 Saturday.

The installations are also bring the issue of the floral sector to limelight which has been affected by the lockdown. “We are constantly monitoring conditions in our markets, where physical shops are being forces to shut down and frontiers are being closed, in order to see how we can make an effective contribution to support the sector with our communications around flowers and plants. We are also exploring effective marketing campaigns which enable consumers to experience the effect of flowers and plants. We believe that some campaigns are so successful that that they are transformed from a campaign into part of a culture”, the council official stated.
