Monday witnessed 103 visitors at BBP after the officials put in the COVID-19 guidelines and protocols in place.
"The first day was quite satisfying and successful as we followed the safety guidelines and protocols.
Our staff was trained for a fortnight and systems were put in place at the Zoo, Butterfly park and Safari," informed one of the officials.
Close to seventy visitors made a beeline for the zoo while some 30 visitors chose to visit the safari, butterfly park and also the Zoo. "Visitors seemlessly followed arrow marks meant for directions , signages and had a hassle free tour of Zoo, Safari and Butterfly park.
Talking about increasing the numbers, official added, "Right now we are not focusing on number of visitors, these numbers will gradually pick up in time. Our present SOP has the capacity to upscale it to 4400 visitors daily but taking health and safety of the visitors into consideration is also of paramount importance."
