Lovers of comedy huddled at one of the star hotels in the city for some laughs. Comedian Sapan Verma seemed to be a favourite among the young as he made jokes about the youth’s obsession with Steve Jobs and his products, which we think, makes us look ‘cool’. Then he gave the guests some gyaan about how we invent designations for ourselves. For example, someone’s designation is ‘MBA aspirant’, or a banker who writes in his leisure and calls himself Chetan Bhagat.
When stand-up comedian Ajit Saldhana took the stage, he joked about the stereotypical Indian. He gently heckled the audience, who were sporty enough to play along. They even cheered whenever he asked for it. The ladies in the crowd were particularly in a good mood, as they seemed to enjoy every single joke, funny or not.
