An event to cheer up physically challenged people in Bengaluru

Indiranagar Club played host to a very special beauty pageant, Miss Wheel Chair India Beauty Pageant 2015 last Saturday. This pageant was being organized for the first time in Bengaluru for the physically challenged. It aimed to show concern and to boost the confidence of the physically challenged. The organizer of this event was Dr Rajalakshmi, who herself was the winner of the previous Miss Wheel Chair India Beauty Pageant which was held at Mumbai last year.
Dr Rajalakshmi is a dentist by profession, a gold medalist in her post-graduation and was confined to a wheel chair due to an accident. The event had the audience cheering the women as they showed their most elegant self forward. Spotted at the event was sportsperson Ashwini Nachappa and actress-turned-politician Thara. Also seen appreciating every participant’s appreciation was Bengaluru’s top cop BNS Reddy.
