If you're the kind that lives and breathes jazz, then this nightspot was the place to be. The quartet of Ed Degenaro, Atma Anur, Natalie John and the lanky Steve Zerlin kicked off the evening with some jazz standards, later revving up the scene with heavy metal and some pretty crazy bebop. The vibe was a little more than chic but no less laidback, and making the most of their weekend were the the stylish peeps, who turned up in distressed jeans and causal tees for a fun evening, over fancy cocktails.
Getting the crowd on his side was Ed, who switched from cello to guitar during his early years after taking a cue from his guitar heroes like Steve Vai, Frank Gambale and Scott Henderson. Ed swung them into action with crowd-pleasers like A Night Like This while the lovely Natalie John who has sizzled on the New York jazz scene made it a memorable evening with her strong vocals. All for an evening of jazz!
