On Children’s Day, Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts (SaPa) joined hands with UNICEF on the global theme of ‘takeover by children’ for a performance for and by children, and launched a special ‘10,000 Deeds’ campaign to initiate action on the global sustainable development goals at the school level.
Music director duo Venky and Varun presented One Song — a multilingual song dedicated to specially-abled children.

The One Song has contributions of over 150 musicians, including late Dr Balamuralikrishna and Pandit Jasraj, P Susheela, Dr SP Balasubramaniam, among others.
Actor Puneeth Rajkumar, who attended the event, was felicitated by violin legend Dr L Subramaniam. Other attendees included Meital Rusdia, chief, UNICEF office for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Bindu Subramaniam and Ambi Subramaniam.
