On the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, it was a special celebration at

Rukmini

Auditorium in

Aurangabad

as they paved way to celebrate the day in a unique manner. It was interesting to see

widows

and daughters of drought affected farmer’s families perform the drama 'Terava'. The members of

Sakshama NGO

in the city gave these women a chance to showcase their talent and come forward to express their emotions. Through the play

Terava

, which literally means rituals that are performed after cremation till the 13th day after death was portrayed through this emotional drama.

Due to draught affect in certain areas of the state, many farmers are indebted and cannot repay the loans they have acquired and they chose a path of suicide; leaving behind the wives and daughters. Such plight was depicted through this play by these women itself.
The play definitely etched the audience's heart present at the auditorium which aimed at celebrating women's day in real sense.
