Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath held in the city

Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra, also known as car or chariot festival, was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety at

Cidco

, Aurangabad. Amidst the slogans of Shri Jagannath ki jai, a yatra procession was held in the evening. Devotees of Lord Jagannath gathered to be a part of the procession and celebrated the festival with devotion. Similar to that of Orrisa’s rath yatra, the rath in the city was decorated with colourful flowers where the idols of Lord Jagannath his siblings

Balabhadra

and

Subhadra

sat.

People from various age groups and communities participated in the rituals of the festival as they began the yatra with enthusiasm and taking part in pulling of colourfully decorated chariot. As the chariot went around, prasad distribution was also done at the rath yatra.
